Formula 1 Revival May Boost Yamuna Expressway Real Estate

NOIDA : The proposed revival of Formula 1 racing in India could provide a fresh boost to the real estate ecosystem along the Yamuna Expressway, particularly around the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), according to real estate experts.

The central government has constituted a task force under NITI Aayog to examine the feasibility of bringing Formula 1 back to India and developing the country’s wider motorsport ecosystem. India hosted the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Buddh International Circuit from 2011 to 2013.

A recurring international motorsport calendar could increase demand for hotels, serviced apartments, restaurants, retail outlets and event spaces along the Yamuna Expressway. Commercial real estate could also benefit through automotive testing facilities, offices, brand-experience centres and MICE infrastructure.

The corridor is already witnessing significant infrastructure-led transformation, supported by the Noida International Airport, improving road connectivity and expanding logistics, manufacturing and commercial activity. Experts suggest that Formula 1 could act as an additional catalyst, although long-term property growth will continue to depend on infrastructure delivery and broader economic activity.

For the Yamuna Expressway, the potential return of Formula 1 could therefore add another dimension to the region’s evolving real estate and hospitality landscape.
