Donald Trump’s Childhood Home in Queens Sells for $1.93 Million After Major Renovation

 

New York:  US President Donald Trump’s childhood home in Jamaica Estates, Queens, has been sold for $1.93 million following a major renovation that transformed the once-neglected property into a modern residence.

The Tudor-style five-bedroom, three-bathroom house was built in 1940 by Trump’s father, real estate developer Fred Trump. Donald Trump lived in the property until he was four years old. The Trump family has not owned the house for many years.

From Neglect to Luxury Renovation

The property had remained vacant and deteriorated significantly before developer Tommy Lin purchased it for $835,000 in 2025. Lin reportedly invested approximately $500,000 in an eight-month renovation.

The refurbishment included a modern chef’s kitchen, herringbone wood flooring and spa-style bathrooms, turning the aging house into a contemporary residence while retaining its connection to its historic past.

A Property With an Unusual History

The Queens home has attracted considerable attention over the years because of its connection to Trump The latest transaction marks another chapter in the property's unusual journey—from a neglected residence to a renovated home whose historical association continues to attract real estate and media attention.

The buyer's identity has not been publicly disclosed. The latest sale price was recorded on real estate websites after the buyer entered into a contract in July 2026.
